The four-stage filtration starts with a spark arrestor aluminum mesh filter, and then the particles pass through a stainless steel mesh filter.
Whatever hasn’t been removed with the first two filters moves through a pleated pre-filter, which takes care of particles between 2 and 10 microns.
A V-Cell HEPA filter is the final stage of the filtration process. It filters 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. For reference, a human hair is between 50–70 microns in diameter, meaning the G0964 collects particles 230 times smaller!
