Glancy’s Alchemy is the kind of brand we love at Norfolk Wood Shop—family owned, science-nerdy, and obsessed with great finishes. Owner Chase Glancy is a chemist by day and a furniture maker in his off-hours, and he spent nearly two years developing a true penetrating oil that actually behaves the way woodworkers want it to. Their penetrating oil is designed, sourced, manufactured, and bottled in the U.S., and it dives deep into the wood fibers to fully saturate the pores without muddying the natural color. The result is serious chatoyance and depth from the crystalline structure left in the wood—with just one coat and about an 8-hour dry time.
