This way long-lasting hooks can be formed easily. Hooks can formed with any hardened steel or carbide burnisher, but our preference is to use an Accu-Burr burnisher which turns a quick, consistent hook on both edges at once.  Both long edges are surface ground to 90 degrees, and both faces have been polished, so no preparation is needed before creating a hook.
