Since we launched Bad Owl Tool as a Progressive Web App (PWA) around Thanksgiving, the response from the woodworking community has been incredible. Our goal was simple: to build a no-BS digital toolkit that works as hard as you do in the shop.
But launching at app.badowltool.com was just the beginning.
Built on Your Feedback
We believe the best tools aren't built in a vacuum—they are refined on the workbench. Over the last few months, we’ve been listening closely to your feedback. Whether it’s a tweak to the interface or a request for a specific calculation, your input is currently driving our development cycle. We are working hard on a series of updates to make the app faster, more intuitive, and even more indispensable during a build.
Coming Soon: The Google Play Store
While the PWA version allows you to "install" the app directly from your browser, we know many of you prefer the seamless experience of a native app. We are currently in the process of getting Bad Owl Tool published in the Google Play Store.
This move will provide Android users with easier access, automatic updates, and a more integrated experience on their mobile devices. We’re working through the final steps to get it into your pocket.
Expanding the Toolkit
We aren't stopping at the current feature set. Our roadmap is growing, and we have several new tools in mind that we’ll be adding to the app soon. Our mission is to make Bad Owl Tool the primary digital companion for every cut, joint, and finish you tackle.
